Arica Arrival

We are now set up in the Surf House Hostel in Arica, we had a quick walk over to El Gringo this evening, it’s not too far to walk, but I already miss being 100 yards from the water at Iquique.

The owner was doing tow-ins today apparently, and it looked pretty sizey from what we saw, hopefully it wont be too busy or dangerous looking tomorrow.

The cliffs overlooking it are very picturesque, and it looks like a good walk up the steps to get to the top where there’s a massive Chilean flag and the Christ statue which features in a few bodyboarding vids.

Arica is a pretty big city with plenty of stuff happening so it should be fun hanging here for the next 4 days.
