We are going to be spending a lot of time in the next 24 hours waiting for flights or flying.
Our bags are checked and we set off in about an hour from Antigua VC Bird airport to San Juan in Peurto Rico - a 3 hour wait there, then on to New York JFK, then on to Lima in Peru - then Santiago Chile where we have our hostel booked.
Charlies already got the i-pod out.
I’m stealing wi-fi, after a bit of trial and error I’ve found Cable & Wireless have the best unsecured wi-fi in the airport, so I’m abusing that for now.
I foolishly left my i-pod-USB cable in my checked luggage so I can’t upload anything new now, but we’ll be in Chile soon and I wont need any distractions other than surf forecasts to keep me busy.
Thanks for the reassurance George, We’ve had to fill in a paper version of the visa form now anyway, not sure why they need us to do it again - it’s a bit like the checking in and out you have to do on every Caribbean island when you arrive on a boat - it’s such a hassle, everything gets duplicated 6 times and the immigration and customs officials are always grumpy.
