They’re playing the Presidents of the United States cover of Buggles’ Video Killed the Radio Star - the one which is on RSK, I can hear it clearly, but the rest of the music coming from the restuarant downstairs has been dump, so I’m not going to leave Charlie asleep on her own to investigate.
The next song just started - Chilli Peppers… rubbish.
Anyway, boredom and a sleepy girlfriend has led me to find a way to put new songs and video on my ipod without itunes, Floola is a good tool for doing it, so now I have Kim Wildes “Kids in America” to listen to as I board my flight to Chile in 2 days, before I left I re-watched Boogie Knights, can’t wait to get some decent waves.
Has anyone else applied for a visa waive thing for the USA? How terrible is the “In order to apply you must waive all rights to an appeal if someone at customs doesn’t want you in the country for any reason”. Wish I’d never bothered getting flights from L.A. although I expect I’ll be wanting some first world comforts after 3 months slumming it.
Next song just started - not making this up - The Rembrandts - “I’ll be there for you”, as in the Friends Theme tune. Rubbish, I’ll be turning up the Kim Wilde and hopefully not getting bitten by any more mossies whilst I dream of Chilean waves.
Edit - next songis Jessies Girl - I put it on an RSK podcast a year or so ago - I’d give them the benefit of the doubt if I was pissed and not just tired.
