With a wide range of experience within the Customer Services sector and through pro-active personal skills development I have experience in writing for online and print publications, graphic and web design, persuing a wide variety of projects from conception to completion and dealing with all types of customer. I am eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Employment History

November 2006 – February 2009

Orange PCS Ltd, Ashleigh Way, Plympton, Plymouth

Customer services: phone, e-mail and face to face support for Orange consumer and internal customers, dealing with enquiries on a broad range of issues such as billing, hardware, software and complaints.  The skills required for this position include problem solving, use of initiative in providing resolutions, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication, strong computer skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new roles.

March 2006 – November 2006

FirstAssist, The Money Centre, Plymouth

Customer support/Sales: contacting existing customers by telephone, discussing and selling various policies on behalf of the AA and RAC organisations. Meeting targets and consistently dealing with customers.

1999 - 2006

Royal Mail: Data Entry Keyer, Data entry, developed ability to reach targets and maintain efficiency.

Cost Cutters: General checkout and stockroom duties, looking after a busy shop, working alone when necessary, receiving deliveries.

Work Experience

Various experience with the BBC, filming and editing a piece for Spotlight on location at the Devon County Show, followed by a weeks experience in the BBC South West headquarters working closely with the web content team.

Entrepreneurship module in final year of University involved working closely with local start-up businesses, the Young Enterprise scheme and many other SME business related services in South Wales. By running a company for a year I gained an insight into many of the processes of running a business.

Interests and Additional Skills

Surfing: Swansea University Surfing Society: 2003-2004 Vice Captain Involved in organizing society events including organizing surf lessons on the Gower, traveling to West Wales for team selection events and Newquay for national competition.

· Produced promotional work including poster design, advertising, personal persuasion, represented university in national student championships 2004 and 2005, placing 11th and 2nd.

Videography: Produced two UK surf DVD’s, marketed and sold through premieres, national magazine reviews and dedicated web stores. Winner of Digital-Director.co.uk video editing competition 2004.

Web design: Various personal and commercial projects undertaken including: BenPascoe.co.uk, WM-Cruising.co.uk, rskonline.co.uk and MinorityProject.com.

Sport: Various awards achieved in kayaking, sailing, football and surfing.

Traveling: Independent travel throughout Europe, South, Central & North America and the Caribbean.
